What's On - The Great Highland Games Chase: Illustration Workshop with Laura Darling

The Great Highland Games Chase: illustration workshop with Laura Darling. In this informal workshop, Laura will perform an interactive reading of her picture book The Great Highland Games Chase (written by Kate Abernethy). She will then share her stacks of scruffy sketches with the group and chat about how the illustrations were made.

Laura will lead a step-by-step drawing tutorial where participants will practice drawing their own mischievous pup Wee Rascal, the book’s main character. The group will learn tips on drawing characters and movement. Finally, participants will draw themselves as characters in the book. These will be cut out and collaged into one collaborative illustration.

For ages 5-8, must be accompanied by an adult.
