A-Z Recycling Guide

We understand it can be a little confusing knowing which items can or cannot be recycled, what you should do with them or which bin to use. To help make things easier, we’ve put together an A-Z guide for residents that provides guidance on what to do when disposing of items.

Recycling if you live in a flat or tenement

Bring Sites have been provided to make it easier for residents living in flats and tenements in

Traditional Metal Razor Blades

  • These are typically made of steel and are recyclable.  However, due to their small size they can easily be missed during the recycling process.
  • If you want to recycle these - we would recommend collecting and storing them in a small metal tin.
  • Once your tin is full, you can place your tin (containing the razor blades) in the Scrap Metal skip at either of our recycling centres.
  • Can be recycled at Riverside or Baldovie recycling centres.
  • Do not place in Burgundy recycling bins.
  • If you do not wish to recycle these - In the interests of safety, wrap these in paper, card or tissue and place in the Grey general waste bin.
