What can I not put in my burgundy bin?
Gas Canisters/bottles and batteries (domestic, lead-acid, lithium, vapes) must not be placed in any household bins. Disposal of these hazardous items within household bins poses a serious fire risk and can lead to extremely dangerous situations for waste management operatives and reprocessors. Instructions
- Rinse your metals. Rinse and squash your plastics and cartons
- Place your recycling into your burgundy or red lidded bin.
Bin Collections
Please ensure your burgundy bin is presented by 7.30am, at an agreed location on collection day and returned to your bin storage area by the end of collection day. Collections take place between 7:30am-3:30pm (Mon-Thur) and 7:30am-3pm (Friday).
