Guided Tour of Ancient Dundee Howff Graveyard
A friendly, guided walk through hundreds of years of Dundee History. The stories are often sad, sometimes funny, but always interesting.
'The Howff' is an old Scots name for a meeting place-you will find out why on the tour! Since being gifted to the people of Dundee by Mary Queen of Scots, The Howff has been the burial place of both the rich and poor of the city. 300 years of tumultuous history is written on the stones. We pause at a couple of locations to consider Dundee's links to the Slavery Trade and Scottish Witch Trials. There is a lot to cover in 80 minutes!
Tour commences at 11am sharp from inside the main entry to Dundee Howff Graveyard.
