n conjunction with the start of an exhibition at the local McManus Galleries, called “Dundee Nights”, all about nightlife in the city from the past, opening December 5th, I decided to put on a Deadly Earnest gig (first for 12 years) featuring bands and artists that have spanned the decades”We've called the gig “A Wild Night Out”, and secured performances from a unique set of bands and artists.
HENNISI - Dundee band who go way back but sadly a few years ago, their lead singer Don passed away. Now, through that and other issues, the surviving band are making a comeback.
THE WILDHOUSE: Unique trio with two guitarists, influenced by Velvet Underground, and whose gigs at The Doghouse and all around Dundee, would often end in waves of howling feedback, & who have reformed specially for this gig.
THEE RAG N BONE MAN: One man band, originally half of the duo Ghosts Of Progress, whose hi-octane gigs would be the stuff of legend. Now, taking that idea to even more extremes, you can guarantee that this rare Dundee gig will be powerful stuff

ALTRES: Dundee's synths and electric guitar trio, who've played infrequent gigs at such diverse places as Mills Observatory and Sainsbury Supermarket,& supported The Orb, with their own brand of Tangs and German influenced electronic excursions

We've also pegged the price of entry at just £5, in the spirit of the underlying theme that's inspired the gig.
