HAMA TIME!
Get designing with hama beads. Hama beads (also known as fuse beads) are small, colorful plastic beads that can be arranged on a pegboard to form patterns and designs. Once the design is complete, the beads are fused together using heat from an iron. Finished designs can be used as decorations or as part of a craft project. Beads and pegboards will be provided, along with a range of suggested pictures and patterns for children to recreate. Library staff will be on hand to iron completed designs which can then be taken home. Suitable for ages 5 plus due to small pieces. Children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

TEDDY TALES
Children are invited to bring along their favourite teddy and join us for a story time. During this 20-30 minute session, w ll read aloud from books and maybe sing a song or two. Parents/carers are welcome to stay and explore our books or enjoy the puzzles and games also on offer. Suitable for ages 2 plus. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Max 2 children per adult.

THE DOT story and art session
'The Dot' by Peter H. Reynolds is an award-winning book which encourages children to embrace their creativity and that small beginnings can lead to great things. W ll read the story of Vashti, who thinks she ca t draw until she begins with just one dot. After hearing the story children will have the opportunity to make their own artwork, just like Vashti. Art materials (paper, crayons, pens, glue, shapes, paint sticks) will be provided and children can take their artwork home. Suitable for ages 5 plus. Children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

LEGO CLUB
Free play with Lego. Children have access to a wide range of brick colours and shapes to make whatever their imagination comes up with. Stuck for inspiration? Choose one of our build challenges. Completed builds are labelled and displayed in the library for a week before being dismantled ready for the next session. Lego Club allows children to enjoy playing in the company of others, encouraging socialising and teamwork. Suitable for ages 5 plus due to small pieces. Children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

DUPLO-DROP IN

Suitable for ages 7 plus. Children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

BOOKBUG
Bookbug sessions are held in libraries and last for about 20 minutes. It is a great way for babies, parents and carers to enjoy familiar and new rhymes and stories in an informal setting. Rhymes are often repeated as children enjoy repetition and it helps to build confidence. Sharing books, stories, songs and rhymes builds vocabulary and the language and listening skills which are essential for your child's development. It is a good opportunity to meet other parents and is a fun time for everyone!
