Owen Pilgrim: The Fisher King: The Masculine Wound in Mythology.
Owen is a storyteller and an artist based in Fife. He runs workshops with adults in storytelling, story-making, and using stories in a therapeutic way. Owen sees stories, especially those of the mythological, as having relevance to seeing deeper into our selves and human nature.
Seen through the lens of mythology, we are shown the source & nature of the masculine wound and the devastating repercussions it has throughout society. The stories also show the way to healing & renewed wholeness. In this talk, Owen will be exploring the masculine wound in the story of the Fisher King, drawing from the work of thinkers like Robert Johnson, Bill Plotkin, and Robert Bly.
