Forgan Arts Centre and Big Rock Records join forces to bring you a new music and arts festival in the centre’s lush grounds and gardens.

Join us in Newport-on-Tay for an afternoon and evening of art and live acts that represent the depth and breadth of Scottish talent. The line-up is headlined by Edinburgh’s rising star Hamish Hawk, whose new album, A Firmer Hand, is released this summer. Glam-goth rockers, Walt Disco, bring their anthemic queer pop to the festival, joined by paragons of Glasgow’s DIY scene Free Love. The line up is completed by Dundee’s own Theo Bleak and Jutebox as well as Aberdeen based AiiTee.

During the run of the festival there will be the opportunities to engage with our arts programme. Join gardener and environmentalist Dr Helena Simmons for a guided tour of our grounds. Rosalie Thorley, a recent Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD) graduate, will be leading an exciting drop-in printing workshop, come create your own handmade prints! Later in the evening, join Hanifah Sogbanmu to create a collective art piece that will be exhibited as part of her Masters Show at DJCAD. For the duration of the festival Forgan studio holder Andy Truscott will take field recordings and other sonic samples for a commissioned sound piece that will also be exhibited at the 2024 DJCAD Masters Show.

Music is selected by Newport-on-Tay’s own Big Rock Records and complemented with art interventions curated by Hanifah Sogbanmu.
