Camperdown Wildlife Centre 50th Anniversary Display

Camperdown Wildlife Centre 50th Anniversary Display Image
Welcome to Camperdown Wildlife Centre’s 50th Birthday Celebrations!

This display marks a special milestone - the 50th anniversary of the Wildlife Centre at its current location.

While Camperdown Park has housed an animal collection for nearly 100 years, the significant move to the present site was spearheaded by Alf Robertson, a visionary animal expert who was persuaded out of retirement to create the foundation of what Camperdown Wildlife Centre offers and delivers today.

One of his most memorable contributions was taking his Golden Eagle, Apollo, into schools, creating perhaps the most exciting educational lesson ever for countless children.

Explore our display and join us in celebrating 50 years of wildlife conservation and education at Camperdown Wildlife Centre!

Entry to the photo display is free. Admission fees to visit the animals are in place. Opening times are 10am until 4.15pm (last admission 3.45pm).
