Observing the Universe

Observing the Universe Image
Join former Dundee City Astronomer Brian Kelly for a six-week practical astronomy course. This is a complete introduction to finding your way around the night sky using the unaided eye, binoculars or a small telescope. You’ll learn how to identify the stars and constellations, recognize the planets and follow the changing appearance of the Moon, as well as spotting more nearby phenomena such as meteors, the aurora and orbiting satellites. This course will also look at how to record your observations, including basic imaging techniques, and will provide resources for taking your interest further.

Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm for 6 weeks.
