Football Event Parking

Dundee City Council has introduced a restricted parking zone in the area around Tannadice and Dens Park. New signage will be erected at the perimeter of the zone advising that parking restrictions apply when football matches are being played.

Residents will be able to apply for an exemption allowing them to park within the zone.

How will the football parking zone work?

Unless registered with the Council's Parking Team, vehicles should not be parked/remain parked within the zone when matches are being played.

Residents can register their vehicles and gain an exemption from the parking restrictions applied to visiting football fans.

Enforcement will take place when football matches are being played and Penalty Charge Notices will be issued to any cars parked in contravention of the restrictions.

How to apply for a Football Event Parking Permit

Permits will only be given to individuals who reside within the zone. A physical permit is not issued. Instead vehicle details will be added to a list of permitted vehicles. This list will be visible to the Parking Attendants who enforce the rules.

Please submit a scan or photograph of your V5C Document (proof of vehicle ownership) to footballeventparking@dundeecity.gov.uk.

If you do not own your vehicle, but use a leased vehicle or a vehicle from your work, please provide a letter from your employer or leasing company. You can contact footballeventparking@dundeecity.gov.uk for further guidance on your application.
