Pavement Parking
The Transport (Scotland) Act 2019 introduced a national ban on pavement parking, double parking, and parking at dropped kerbs to make it easier for local authorities to ensure that pavements and roads are safer and more accessible to all. Multipark Flexi Smartcard
The MultiPark smartcard is perfect for full-time, part-time and hybrid working because it offers the financial savings associated with a monthly season ticket but offers the flexibility to use it only on the days you come to the city centre. All day parking becomes available at the equivalent of just £5.00 per day. It can be used in anyone of our multi-storey car parks:
Monthly Parking Tickets
Dundee City Council operates a 2-tier system of monthly car park tickets which are available to purchase by calendar month. These allow access to our Multi Storey car parks and dedicated surface level car parks listed below. These can be purchased online. The monthly ticket will only allow one vehicle registration per application.

Parking - Suspended Bays
It may be necessary to suspend a pay and display bay to undertake work that requires the use of a vehicle.
Suspension of a bay will be necessary if a vehicle needs to be parked for longer than the maximum time period in a given area.

Limited Waiting Area (restricted free parking)
We have several areas across the city where limited waiting is available free of charge for a restricted time period.
This allows the turnover of bays, for access to businesses and residential properties outwith the Controlled Parking Zone, where charging do not apply.

What to do if a meter is out of order
If the nearest parking meter is not working please purchase a ticket from the next closest meter with the same tariff. This may be across the road, payment can also be made via the JustPark App.
