Dundee City Council has been issued with notice that employees who are Unite the Union members will undertake industrial strike action next month.

The strike action will impact on the city’s waste services & street cleansing services and begin from the start of Monday 8th November and take place for the duration of a week until the end of Sunday 14th November.

The council is focused on minimising the disruption to waste collection services, including trade waste, during this period.

The industrial action relates to national pay negotiations and it is understood that COSLA remains in a constructive dialogue with employee representatives.

Residents will be made aware of any future developments on changes to the city’s services at the earliest opportunity via the Dundee City Council website, the council’s Twitter or Facebook pages.
