Phillip Leslie Piano programme to include works by Chopin and Schumann. Biography British pianist, Phillip Leslie is known for his captivating playing and diverse programming. Praised for his sense of 'culture and refinement' (Liszt Society), he is fast becoming one of UK's leading young artists. Since making his Southbank Centre debut in 2019, he has performed across the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden and France including performances at Salle Cortot, Steinway Hall, Palau de la Musica, St John's Smith Square, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Castellon Auditorio and the Wigmore Hall. A Park Lane Group Artist, Live Music Now Artist, Cross Trust and Keyboard Charitable Trust Artist, he was the recipient of the Weingarten Prize and Silver Medal Keyboard Award for his studies and recently gave his Emerging Artist recital at the Usher Hall for their 2023/24 season. A laureate of numerous competitions including the Liszt Society, Anton Rubinstein and Gothenburg International Piano Competitions, he has worked with orchestras including the Scottish Sinfonia and Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestras. Festival appearances include Endellion, Hertfordshire, Concerts of the Tempietto & Perth Festival. He was educated at Trinity Laban, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, RNCM and L'Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. He currently teaches at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and the City Literary Institute.
