The Future of Transport

The Future of Transport Image
This exhibition highlights the history of innovation in transport and explores the radical ways in which transport may change in the future. Transportation accounts for around a quarter of all greenhouse gas emissions in Europe, so this shift towards green transportation is critical. From hydrogen-powered trains to electric cars, the exhibit will explore Scotland's plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation within the next few decades. Featuring retrofuturistic artworks, early electric vehicles, and other objects from our collection, the exhibition will show how green transport has developed over time and how new technologies will drive Scotland towards a more sustainable future.
