The wildlife to be found here may surprise you. There are a variety of birds that make the reserve and surrounding areas their home, including a resident pair of swans, a heron, dippers and lots of other familiar garden favourites.
Roe deer can be seen in the field just north of the reserve, usually early in the morning. If you prefer to be out and about at dusk then you might see the bats as they perform their aerial acrobatics over the pond.
In the ponds themselves you should be able to see lots of frogs, toads and even a newt or two living alongside all the other bugs and beasties such as diving beetles and snails.
