I BAXTER PARK RESTORATION PLAN
(a) RAILINGS FOR PLAY AREA
The Director of Leisure and Communities submitted Report No 465-2006 giving details of offers received to carry out the above works.
The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer by P&G Blacksmiths and Fabricators amounting to 21,235 together with a 5% contingency sum of 1,062 making a total expenditure of 22,297.
(b) TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY OF PLANTS
The Director of Leisure and Communities submitted Report No 477-2006 giving details of offers received for the supply of plants.
The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer by Wyevale Nurseries Ltd amounting to 27,072.
II MUSIC DEVELOPMENT - MAJOR PROJECTS GRANTS ALLOCATION
The Director of Leisure and Communities submitted Report No 486-2006 seeking approval to award grants to Arts and Heritage organisations.
The Committee authorised the payment of grants totalling 23,000 as undernoted:-

III TENDER FOR THE RESTORATION OF CEMETERY HEADSTONE MEMORIALS
Councillor Duncan declared a financial interest by virtue of the inclusion of his employer on the list of tenderers.
The Director of Leisure and Communities submitted Report No 478-2006 giving details of offers received to carry out the above works.
The Committee agreed to accept the most advantageous offer by Vermicon Environmental, Ballingry, Fife who complied with all the tender conditions.
IV PLAY PARK AWARDS
There was submitted Agenda Note AN265-2006 advising that Castle Green Play Area, Broughty Ferry had won the Children's Play Area category of Local Government News (LGN) Street Design Awards and that Dudhope Skatepark, which was completed and opened in May 2006, had been shortlisted for a Nancy Ovens Award for Play 2006.
The Committee noted the above.
The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.
V VICTORIA PARK BOWLING GREEN, BALGAY ROAD
There was submitted Agenda Note AN266-2006 advising that a Company had applied to lease an area of ground within the above Club for the purpose of the erection of a mast and associated equipment.
Councillor Barrie seconded by Bailie Powrie moved that the Committee do not approve the proposal.
As an amendment the Convener seconded by Councillor Hind moved that the proposal be approved.
On a division, there voted for the motion - Bailies Corrigan, Powrie and Borthwick and Councillors Duncan, Andrew Dawson, Sawers, FitzPatrick, Roberts, Barrie and Fordyce (10); and for the amendment - the Convener, Lord Provost Letford, Bailie Wright and Councillors Shimi, Keenan, Regan, Grant, Hind, Morrow, Macpherson, Dick, Wallace, Webster and Scott (14) - Councillor Don being absent when the vote was taken - whereupon the amendment was declared carried.
