The minute of meeting of this Committee of 18th April 2005 was held as read.

I HOUSING INVESTMENT GROUP - ACHIEVING THE SCOTTISH HOUSING QUALITY STANDARD
The Director of Housing submitted Report No 296-2005 seeking approval of the Scottish Housing Quality Standard Delivery Plan submitted to Community Scotland on 29th April 2005.
The Committee:-
(a) Agreed the Scottish Housing Quality Standard Delivery Plan submission.
(b) Agreed to the preparation of a Communication Strategy in order to further consult on the Delivery Plan with tenants and staff.
(c) Remitted to the Director of Housing to submit a bid for Housing Estate Regeneration Funding 2005-2008 to cover the cost of the initial programme of surplus house demolition and associated necessary regeneration works, and
(d) Remitted to the Director of Housing to approach the Scottish Executive to request a continuation of debt servicing for the Ardler housing stock.
II COMMUNAL CLEANING -- EXTENSION TO CONTRACT
There was submitted Agenda Note AN203-2005 requesting approval to a three year extension to the existing Citywide Communal Cleaning Contract between the Housing Department and Tayside Contracts on the current terms and conditions.
On a reference to Article V of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 18th February, 2002, the Committee agreed to continue the communal cleaning service to tenants via a Service Charge on the current terms and conditions.
III TENDERS RECEIVED
The City Architectural Services Officer submitted Report No 304-2005 giving details of offers received for the undernoted contracts:-
(a) CRAIGIE DRIVE 1ST DEVELOPMENT, 114-120 CRAIGIE DRIVE - MONO-PITCHED FELT ROOF REPLACEMENT
The Committee agreed to accept the negotiated offer with Dundee Contract Services amounting to 31,333.54 together with allowances of 402 for Planning Supervisor and 3,692 for professional services, making a total expenditure of 35,427.54.
(b) ST MARYS 9TH DEVELOPMENT - PITCHED ROOF REPLACEMENT PHASE - 4
The Committee agreed to accept the negotiated offer with Dundee Contract Services amounting to 142,331.49 together with allowances of 1,232 for Planning Supervisor and 10,104 for professional services, making a total expenditure of 153,667.49.
IV REGISTERED TENANT ORGANISATIONS - ADMINISTRATION GRANTS
There was submitted Agenda Note AN204-2005 requesting grant assistance towards administration costs for 2005-2006 from the following groups:-

V HOUSING (SCOTLAND) ACT 2001 - IMPROVEMENT, REPAIRS AND ENVIRONMENTAL GRANTS, HOME LOANSETC.
There was submitted Agenda Note AN205-2005. Reference was made to the minute of meeting of the Housing Committee of 15th November 1999 when grant expenditure now under Private Sector Housing Grant was agreed. It was agreed that the grants approved during March and April 2005 in each of the categories were as follows:-
