Local Community Planning

The Locality Leadership Scheme 2022-2027 governs the operations and strategic direction of Local Community Planning in Dundee.

A Local Community Planning Partnership (LCPP) oversees the development and delivery of a Local Community Plan for that part of Dundee. The Local Community Plan contains a series of priorities and actions that services and community organisations have agreed to take forward in order to improve the services that local residents need and rely on to ensure that local priorities are being addressed.

The LCPP also provides a platform for consultation and debate among services and community members. This allows LCPP members to discuss emerging issues or opportunities and agree actions to take these forward.  Following the structure of the City Plan for Dundee, LCPPs may establish working groups to focus on a particular theme, or to deliver a particular project. Membership of the working groups is agreed by the LCPP and can change or evolve to suit.
