Other Burial Areas
Dundee City Council has a legal responsibility to make arrangements for the burial or cremation of anyone who has died within its boundaries if no other arrangements are being made. Burials are made in areas in cemeteries designated as Other Burial Areas or Semi Private Ground. Graves are not marked by headstones planting or tributes although there is a designated area available to leave temporary floral tributes. The council maintains the ground in these areas and records are kept to enable family members to find out where relatives are buried.
