We are arranging the count for the by-elections on Thursday 3rd October.
There are two by-elections taking place:
- Lochee Ward
- Strathmartine Ward
If you are a member of the media and wish to express an interest in attending the count for the by-elections on Thursday 3 October 2024, please email pr@dundeecity.gov.uk with the following details:
- Names of those wishing to attend the count
- Organisation/publication/broadcaster
- Phone number(s)
- Email(s)
- Category – TV Broadcast/radio broadcast/print and or online/photographer
- Do you need broadcast vehicle access? If so, please provide details
- Do you need to recce the venue prior to election night? If so, you must request this with the Communications Team by Wednesday 26th September.
Details of the count:
DISC: Dundee International Sports Centre, Mains Load, Dundee, DD4 7AA
Thursday 3 October from 10pm.
Accreditation is open from: Tuesday 20 August to Friday 27 September. No accreditation will be given after this date and time.
Individuals must be registered to enter the count, if you are not accredited, you will not be given access.
Other things to note:
- The media center will be on the balcony/mezzanine at DISC. The media will not be allowed access to the count floor.
- The declaration will be made (by microphone) by the Returning Officer Gregory Colgan.
- Security will be in place at the count
- There is a separate accreditation process for candidates and agents
