Talks
Members of the Archives staff and some of our volunteers offer short talks on a variety of subjects relating to the history of Dundee.
Talks can be given to Dundee area groups and societies. There is no charge for these talks but we do suggest that groups may wish to make a donation to the Friends of Dundee City Archives.
To see if we are available to give a talk, please contact us with the date of the event and location. If the talk you have chosen is given a volunteer, we may need to pass on your details to them, we will ask your permission before doing so.
Group Visits
We welcome groups from local communities, organisations and schools to visit the Archives. Visits can include a tour of the archives, along with a document display. The display can be tailored to fit in in with any project or interests that the group may have.
Due to staff and facility restrictions we may need to limit the size of the group visiting the archives. Generally we can only accommodate 20 people at a time. Tours should also be booked well in advance to ensure availability.
To arrange a tour, please contact us with the date, number of people, and the sort of things you would like to see.
Lunchtime Lectures
The Friends of Dundee City Archives run monthly talks on a variety of topics relating to the history of Dundee and the immediate area. The talks are free and anyone is welcome to attend.
