  • Beach Crescent from Fort Street to St Vincent Street

    closed to westbound traffic.  Castle approach is closed.

  • Candle Lane (Allan Lane to Dock Street)

    closed until 31 August 2022 for sewer works/utility connections/retaining wall works for a new housing development.

  • Eliza Street (Albert Street to Dura Street)

    closed for 14 months to facilitate safer streets for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • Craigie Street (Albert Street for 25 metres eastwards)

    closed for 14 months to facilitate safer streets for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • Rose Lane/Tulloch Crescent/Arthur Street

    closed for 10 months for structural works as part of forthcoming new housing development.

  • Claypotts Road (Victoria Road to Langholme Gardens)

    closed for one week for retaining wall repair works.  Works delayed by a week.

  • Scottish & Southern Energy Networks Longhaugh Cable Renewal Scheme

    rolling carriageway, footway and footpath closures and temporary traffic lights for 9 weeks.  Carriageway closures are:  Lothian Crescent (North East Campus to Salton Crescent; Whitfield Avenue (No’s 9-31); Whitfield Loan (Lothian Crescent to Summerfield Terrace) and Whitfield Rise (No’s 39 - 131).

  • A90 Kingsway (Coupar Angus Road roundabout to Clepington Road roundabout)

    overnight (7.30pm to 6.30am) lane closures on Wednesday 1 June for drainage works and inspections.

  • A92 Broughty Ferry Road

    overnight (7.30pm to 6.30am) northbound lane closure on Monday 30 May for utility work.

  • A90 Kingsway (after Swallow roundabout)

    overnight (12.00 midnight to 6.30am) southbound lane closure on Monday 30 May for barrier repair.

    closed for demolition works for one week.  Works done in 2 separate phases.

    closed from Monday 23 May for 25 days for footway and carriageway surfacing works.

Roads - General

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.

Please note the information provided is current as of the Friday prior to the report date and is subject to change at any time.  Any updates after publication on Fridays are indicated in bold.
