BRAW is Dundee's Local Access Forum which provides an opportunity for interested people to discuss outdoor access issues. Outdoor access typically includes walking, cycling or horse riding for recreational or getting about using streets and footways or greenspaces and paths.
The Council has a duty to identify and protect public rights of way. Useful information on rights of way can be found on the ScotWays website.
To be a right of way, a route must meet all the following conditions:
Packs of Health Walks Cards are available to download as Acrobat PDFs. The cards feature walks from all across Dundee and have maps and written directions, along with some points of interest to look out for along the way. The walks are generally between 15 minutes and 1 hour long, with a few longer and shorter ones.
What is Outdoor Access?
Under the access legislation, everyone has the right of responsible access to land and inland water in Scotland. The Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, part 1 relates to access rights and responsibilities, came into force on 9th of February 2005
