What is the Electoral Register?
The electoral register is the list of everyone who is registered to vote. You must be on the register to vote at elections. You are not automatically registered, even if you pay Council Tax. You can register to vote at any time, but you must register by 18th April, 2022 to vote at the elections on 5th May, 2022.

Local Elections 2022 - Where to Vote
You can only vote at the polling station which has your name on their register. Details of which polling station you should use will be displayed on your poll card. Poll Cards will be issued around 15th March 2022.
Please ensure you check the poll card sent to you for details of where you should go to vote in person.
Local Elections 2022 - Information for Candidates
A meeting for candidates and agents is being held via Teams on 15th March 2022 at 10.30am and a final one on 5th April at 2pm. For meeting details email ero@dundeecity.gov.uk. If you are already registered to vote you do not need to do anything
If you are not registered to vote you must register by no later than Monday 18 April 2022.
The way you register to vote has changed. The new system is called Individual Electoral Registration.
You can now register to vote online.
You are now responsible for registering yourself to vote.
