Community Empowerment
Community Empowerment
Community empowerment refers to the process of enabling communities to increase control over their lives.
These short videos will give you an introduction to Community Asset Transfer and Participation Requests. More detailed information can be found in the following links.
Participation Requests
Participation requests are a new way for communities to get involved in how the Council and other public sector services are planned and delivered. They are focussed on extending and improving both community participation and outcomes for communities.
They do not replace existing forms of involvement and engagement, where they function well, but create new opportunities to influence public service provision.
Community Empowerment Team
Community Regeneration is about improving the quality of life of residents and communities across Dundee. This relies on building partnerships across and between communities and services, in order to tackle inequality and help communities to do more for themselves through community engagement, community empowerment and local community planning.
