Dundee Entries Encouraged for King's Awards for Enterprise

Dundee organisations are being encouraged to apply for the King’s Awards for Enterprise (KAE) 2027.
The awards are free to enter and open to organisations from the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. They recognise outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of:
young founder
innovation
international trade
sustainability
promoting opportunity through social mobility
City Council City Growth and Infrastructure convener Cllr Steven Rome said: “I would strongly encourage Dundee organisations to consider applying for a King’s Award for Enterprise.
“I am aware of the incredible innovation and endeavours that are being undertaken in our city every day. It would be fitting if some of these received recognition through this prestigious award scheme.
“There are online sessions this month where anyone interested can learn more.”
To be eligible to apply, organisations must be based in the UK with at least two full-time UK employees (or part-time equivalents) and be a self-contained enterprise under its own management arrangements with its own accounts.
Applications are open until September 8, and interested Dundee organisations are being encouraged to attend an online briefing by the Department of Business and Trade KAE team on Tuesday June 16 at 2.00 pm.
The briefing will last no more than an hour. Companies who are interested in attending the briefing should register their interest by emailing the Lord-Lieutenant of Renfrewshire, regional lead for KAE in Scotland by Thursday June 11, 2026, at: petermccarthy554@aol.com
Successful organisations are announced on May 6, Coronation Day, each year.
