Online services update - May 20th
20/05/26

Council systems are returning to normal today after a period of cyber-related disruption.
While intermittent issues may continue for a short while, websites, online processes and external email are functioning again.
Members of the public are asked to bear with us as online services resume after this period of disruption.
We would advise that:
- Any emails sent to us since lunchtime on Monday may not have been received. Please resend any correspondence sent during that period, even if you haven’t received a “bounceback” message.
- Any outstanding payments can now be made. Please use our online portals wherever possible as call volumes to our customer service teams are very high.
- The discount period for paying Parking and LEZ Penalty Charge Notices has been extended for a short period. If you wish to make such a payment, please do so as soon as possible.
At present there is no indication of compromise to internal Council systems, user accounts or core infrastructure as a result of this cyber incident.
Nonetheless, we appreciate that the disruption caused by the actions of an external party has impacted on citizens.
We are grateful for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
