Citizen of the Year nominations

NOMINATIONS to be the next Dundee Citizen of the Year have now opened on the council’s website.
The city council is seeking nominees for the award who have provided outstanding service to the community, normally on a voluntary basis.
Judges will be looking for selfless service to a voluntary body or the community or someone whose service brings distinction and quality to everyday life in Dundee.
There is no age barrier, but nominees must live in the Dundee City Council area.
The judging panel will also consider the circumstances of achievement eg whether it was in the face of great odds such as personal disability or severe private or domestic difficulties.
Nominations would not normally be taken forward if they relate to the individual's full-time work; they are already in receipt of an honour for the same citizenship activity, such as OBE or MBE; or they are a city councillor, MP or MSP.
The nomination form for Dundee’s Citizen of the Year 2025 can be downloaded via this web page and nominations close on April 13.
