Dave Berry has been appointed as the new Director of the Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership and Chief Officer of the Dundee Integration Joint Board. 

Dave has been serving as interim Director/Chief Officer. His appointment follows a robust recruitment and selection process carried out by Dundee City Council and NHS Tayside. 

He brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as Chief Finance Officer for the Partnership and as Finance, Contracts and Welfare Rights manager for Social Work at Dundee City Council. 

Dave Berry said: “It is an honour and a privilege to be appointed to the Chief Officer/Director of Health and Social Care post on a permanent basis and I will continue my commitment to work with partners, staff and service users to the ensure the delivery of high quality, sustainable community health and social care services in the city.” 

Chair of the Dundee Integration Joint Board Councillor Ken Lynn said: “I look forward to continuing the close working relationship with Dave. His extensive experience in health and social care makes him well suited for this important and challenging role, as we work together to meet the growing demand and increasing complexity of services across Dundee.” 

Chief Executive Dundee City Council Greg Colgan said: “I’m delighted to welcome Dave into this role. His knowledge and experience equip him well for this role, as the partnership looks to innovate and transform services to meet the changing demands of health and social care in the city.” 

NHS Tayside Chief Executive Nicky Connor said: “We welcome Dave Berry’s appointment. His leadership comes at a pivotal time as we continue to strengthen our integrated approach to health and social care. Alongside my colleagues at NHS Tayside, I am looking forward to working closely with Dave to deliver high quality, person-centred care for our population.”
