Milk and Healthy Snack Scheme reminder22/09/21
Dundee early years childcare settings, providing childcare services to children aged 5 and under, are being reminded to register for the Scottish Milk and Healthy Snack Scheme if they have not already done so.
The Scottish Milk and Healthy Snack Scheme will fund a daily portion of milk (or infant formula for babies) and a portion of fruit or vegetables for every child aged 5 and under who accesses an early years childcare setting registered with the Care Inspectorate, such as a nursery or childminder.
All settings must register for the scheme through their local council. Registration only has to be completed once but must be completed and approved before any claims can be made. Registration will be open 4 times per year, see link below for dates, to allow new providers to register throughout the year.
Further information on how to begin registering and claim/payment dates is set out here
Once registered, applicants will be e-mailed a link to an online Claim Form, which must be completed and submitted by the deadline dates, see link above for dates.
Further information is available on the Scottish Government website here
