Dundee's Blooming Music Scene at Flower Festival

Dundee’s blooming music scene will be showcased at this weekend’s Flower and Food Festival.

Bands which have featured on the popular Sound of Dundee CD compilations will take over the music stage at Camperdown Park for the hugely popular event, organised by Dundee City Council.

They will be joined by other up-and-coming acts as well as popular children’s entertainer Andy Day and the Woodlands Dance orchestra.

Acts featured include Jonny Jewel, Kashmir Crows, Panda Su, Sonny Carntyne, Esperi and Elephant Sessions.

Performances will take place on Saturday and Sunday (Sep 2 and 3).

City council neighbourhood resources convener Councillor Kevin Cordell said: β€œThis a tremendous line up of bands and musicians reflecting the diversity of the music scene in Dundee and beyond.

β€œThe Flower and Food Festival appeal to a broad range of people and I am pleased that we can use the music stage as showcase for local musical talent.”
