I DECLARATION OF INTEREST

There were no declarations of interest.

II EAST END COMMUNITY CAMPUS - FUNDING AND TENDER AWARD

The Committee acceded to a request for a deputation from Margaret Hogg on behalf of Douglas Local Management Group to address the Committee in relation to this item of business. After the deputation had stated their case and answered questions from members of the Committee, they were thanked for their attendance and withdrew.

There was submitted Joint Report No 106-2023 by the Executive Director of Corporate Services and Executive Director of City Development, advising as to the financial position achieved at Financial Close for the construction of the new East End Community Campus, based on the tender received, level of Scottish Government grant funding and final business case amendments.

The Committee agreed:-

(i) to note the contents of the report and the level of grant award from the Scottish Government;

(ii) to the overall funding package for the project as outlined in Section 3.3 to the report;

(iii) to approve the acceptance of the tender submitted as set out in the report, with the total amount, including allowances as detailed in Appendix 1 to the report; and

(iv) to note that a further report would come back to Committee setting out recommendations based on the review of properties listed in Section 8.5 to the report and that this would be carried out in consultation with Neighbourhood Services and Leisure & Culture Dundee.
