I PRISON VISITING COMMITTEES - HMP PERTH AND HMP OPEN ESTATE

 

Reference was made to Article X of the minute of meeting of the Statutory Meeting of the City Council of 24th May, 2007, wherein it was remitted to the Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) to establish with the groups which nominations they would wish to be put forward for the vacancies existing on HMP Perth and HMP Open Estate Visiting Committees.

 

After considering Agenda Note AN177-2007, the Council made the undernoted appointments.

 

HMP Perth

 

Mr Trevor Bailey, Councillor Peter Douglas, Mr Gordon Samson, Mr J Derry Fleming, and Mr Neil I C Powrie.

 

HMP Open Estate

 

Mr George de Gernier, Mr Charles Hebenton, and Mr Neil I C Powrie.

 

In addition, it was remitted to the groups to forward any further Councillor or non-Councillor nominations to the Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) to fill the necessary vacancies (4 for Perth and 3 for Open Estate).

 

II LICENSING (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 - DUNDEE LICENSING FORUM - APPOINTMENTS

 

There was submitted Report No 367-2007 by the Chief Executive relative to the above.

The Council:-

 

(i) agreed to establish a Local Licensing Forum in terms of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005;

 

(ii) approved the appointment of members for the Licensing Forum as appended hereto; and

 

(iii) approved expenditure on training for members up to a maximum total cost of 300 (20 per person) plus travelling expenses.
