The Community Risk Register

Risk Assessment is the first step in the emergency planning process. It ensures that the Council as a Category 1 Local Responder under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 makes plans that are sound and proportionate to risks.

The Community Risk Register identifies the hazard/threat, it's scale, its effects, arrangements and any specific plans in place to deal with the effects, steps that need to be taken to manage the risk and it's place in local priorities.
