The Director of Arts and Heritage submitted Report No 472-2000 informing the Committee about the above exhibition.

The Committee approved the terms of the report.

II LOAN OF RIDERS OF THE SIDHE

The Director of Arts and Heritage submitted Report No 477-2000 informing the Committee about the loan to the Bunkamura Museum of Art, Tokyo, Japan of the painting "Riders of the Sidhe" by John Duncan.

The Committee noted the terms of the report.

III REVISIONS TO GRANTS SCHEMES AND PAYMENTS TO THIRD PARTY PROCEDURES

The Director of Arts and Heritage submitted Report No 516-2000 outlining revisions to the above procedures governing the distribution of arts and heritage grants and payments to third parties thereby bringing them further into line with the recommendations contained in the document "Guidance on Funding External Bodies and following the Public Pound" and the Scottish Local Authorities "Arts and Best Value National Benchmarking Pilot (Payments to Third Parties)".

The Committee agreed the revisions outlined in the report which would be brought into effect on 1st April 2001.

IV GRANTS TO NATIONAL ORGANISATIONS AND OTHER OUTSIDE BODIES

The Director of Arts and Heritage submitted Report No 479-2000 seeking approval to award grants to a range of Arts and Heritage organisations.

The Committee authorised the payment of 21,350 for grants as detailed in the appendices to the report.

V MUSIC PLUS AT THE DUNDEE FLOWER AND FOOD FESTIVAL

The Director of Arts and Heritage and the Director of Leisure and Parks submitted Joint Report No 533-2000 advising members of the co-ordinated provision between the Arts and Heritage and Leisure and Parks Departments for the Dundee Flower and Food Festival from 1st to 3rd September, 2000.

The Committee noted the report.
