I DECLARATION OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest.
II EDUCATION DEPARTMENT 2012/2017 SERVICE PLAN - ANNUAL REVIEW
On a reference to Article IV of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 24th September, 2012, there was submitted Report No 237-2013 by the Director of Education reviewing the annual performance of the Education Department in relation to the Service Plan for 2012-2017.
The Committee:-
(i) noted the contents of the report; and
(ii) instructed the Director of Education to continue to monitor the progress and impact of the plan and report back on an annual basis in line with agreed corporate procedures.
III CHILD AND ADOLESCENT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES (CAMHS)
There was submitted Report No 372-2013 by the Director of Corporate Services and Director of Education seeking approval for the Council to contribute towards the capital and revenue costs of providing education facilities within the NHS CAMHS project.
The Committee:-
(i) noted the contents of the report;
(ii) agreed to contribute towards the capital and revenue costs of providing education facilities within the NHS CAMHS project; and
(iii) noted that a further report to Committee would be made when the project reaches financial close via the Hub procurement process.
IV REVIEW OF SCHOOL ESTATE
There was submitted Report No 381-2013 by the Director of Education providing an update on the School Estate in Dundee.
The Committee noted the current, planned and ongoing improvements to the School Estate. It was further noted that the Director of Education was consulting with parents and carers of pre-school children on the implications of the increase in the entitlement of annual hours from 475 to 600 from August, 2014 and a further report on this would be submitted to this Committee in December, 2013.
