I TENDERS RECEIVED

There was submitted Report No 71-2009 by the City Architectural Services Officer giving details of offers received for the undernoted contract:-

(a) VARIOUS DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL PROPERTIES - CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF SEPTIC TANKS

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer from Scotloo Waste Management Ltd, Perth amounting to 7,000, together with an allowance of 700 for professional services, giving a total expenditure of 7,700.

II UPGRADE OF INDUSTRIAL ESTATES - 207 STRATHMARTINE ROAD, DUNDEE

There was submitted Agenda Note AN26-2009 advising that as part of the ongoing maintenance programme for Council Industrial Units, it was proposed to apply an Elastomeric coating to the asbestos cement sheets to extend the life of the roof at the industrial premises at 207 Strathmartine Road, Dundee. Using this method would allow the tenant to continue trading while the work took place. Due to the specialist nature of the work, it was proposed to use Raynor Roofing, an approved contractor, to apply the coating. The cost of the work was 22,998.

The Committee approved the foregoing.

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.
