I MINUTE OF MEETING OF PERSONNEL APPEALS SUB-COMMITTEE OF 25TH OCTOBER, 2004
The minute of meeting of the Personnel Appeals Sub-Committee of 25th October 2004, a copy of which is appended hereto, was submitted for information.
IICOMMUNITIES DEPARTMENT - SOCIAL INCLUSION PROGRAMME 3 XPLORE INITIATIVE - CHANGES TO ESTABLISHMENT
There was submitted Agenda Note AN409-2004 advising the Committee that due to changes in the organisation of the Social Inclusion Programme 3 XPlore Initiative from 1st April, 2005, it would be necessary to make staffing changes in preparation of the re-organisation of the services.
The Committee approved:-
(a)the establishment of an additional Senior Youth Worker graded PO1-4, 24,888 - 27,015 to lead a team section within the project (this post would be initially fixed term to 31st March, 2005); and
(b)the deletion of the vacant post of Youth Counsellor (Post No 941) graded AP3/4, 17,340 - 21,732;
having noted that the cost of implementing the proposals would be 4,000 per annum and could be met from existing budget allocations which were 100% funded from the Scottish Executive.
III PLANNING AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT - CORPORATE GIS PROJECT MANAGER
There was submitted Agenda Note AN410-2004 seeking approval for the establishment of a Corporate GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Project Manager post, graded PO11-14, 32,244 - 34,554, initially for a three year period, in the Planning and Transportation Department.
The Committee approved the proposal, having noted that it was planned that the post would be fully funded from any award that was allocated to Dundee City Council from the Modernising Government Fund 3 allocations; however, in the event that the Council was unsuccessful with this bid, the costs would be contained within the Planning and Transportation Departments Revenue Budget.
LORD PROVOST JOHN R LETFORD, Convener.
