The minute of meeting of this Committee of 10th February, 2003 was held as read.

I TENDERS RECEIVED

 

The City Architectural Services Officer submitted Report No 150-2003 giving details of offers received to carry out the cleaning and servicing of boilers, burners and flues 2003-2006.

 

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer by Dalkia Utilities Services plc, Portlethen amounting to 229,368.75 to which required to be added an allowance of 4,500 for professional services making a total expenditure of 233,868.75.

 

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

There was submitted and approved Report No 203-2003 by the Director of Economic Development detailing commercial leases in respect of the undernoted premises:-

III RENT REVIEWS

 

There was submitted and approved Report No 204-2003 by the Director of Economic Development detailing the review of rent in respect of the undernoted premises:-

IV 0.029 HECTARE SITE AT MID ROAD

 

Reference was made to Article XIV of the minute of meeting of this Committee of The City of Dundee District Council of 7th July 1993. Agenda Note AN133-2003 was submitted requesting approval for a restricted use condition to be removed.

 

The Committee approved the request and remitted to the Director of Support Services to conclude the necessary legal formalities.

 

V FORMER RESIDENTIAL HOME, HARING HOUSE, STRATHMORE AVENUE

 

On a reference to Article XII of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 16th August, 1999 the Director of Economic Development submitted Agenda Note AN134-2003 reporting for the information of the Committee that, after consultation with the Convener and the spokespersons for the Opposition Groups, he had instructed the Director of Support Services to conclude the sale on the terms and conditions detailed.

 

VI FERRANTI PHOTONICS, UNIT T CLAVERHOUSE INDUSTRIAL PARK

 

Reference is made to Article X of the minute of meeting of the Recess Sub-Committee of 5th August 2002. Agenda Note AN135-2003 was submitted requesting a rescheduling of the current year's rental.

 

The Committee approved the payment plan requested.

 

VII PROPERTY LETS FOR ELECTION PURPOSES

 

The Director of Economic Development submitted Agenda Note AN136-2003 detailing applications for the use of properties as election lets.

 

The Committee approved the requests with the exception of one property which had been requested by both parties and which would be decided by ballot at a later date.

 

VIII HIGHGATE SHOPPING CENTRE, LOCHEE

 

The Director of Economic Development submitted Agenda Note AN137-2003 requesting approval for the leaseholder to assign the ground lease to a subsidiary company.

 

The Committee approved the request and remitted to the Director of Director of Support Services to conclude the necessary legal formalities.
