I HEALTH & SAFETY (ENFORCING AUTHORITY) REGULATIONS 1998 REGULATION 5 - NOTICE OF TRANSFER OF ENFORCEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
Reference was made to the Health and Safety (Enforcing Authority) Regulations which allow the Health and Safety Executive to transfer enforcement responsibility for various premises to the local authority.
The Committee noted that the Health and Safety Executive had notified the City Council that responsibility for ten premises was to be transferred, these premises being dry cleaners situated within the City.
The Committee agreed to the transfer of enforcement responsibility in respect of these premises.
II SALE OF GLASS
There was submitted Report No 284-2001 by the Director of Environmental and Consumer Protection advising the Committee upon the glass market and the contract options available to Dundee City Council for the sale of glass.
The Committee agreed to accept an offer form Mac-Glass for a contract period of 1 year with an option of a second year, on the terms and conditions detailed in the note.
III CIVIC GOVERNMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1982 SECTION 87(1) BUILDINGS IN NEED OF REPAIR
The Director of Environmental and Consumer Protection reported that notices had been served on the owners of the undernoted properties requiring works to be carried out:

The Committee authorised the Director to carry out the works should the owners not comply within the time allowed in the Notices.
IV THE FOOD SAFETY AND STANDARDS SERVICE DELIVERY PLAN 2000/1; AND THE FOOD SAFETY AND STANDARDS ENFORCEMENT POLICY STATEMENT
There was submitted Report No. 195-2001 by the Director of Environmental and Consumer Protection detailing proposals for the adoption of the Food Service Plan 2001/2002 and the Food Service Enforcement Policy Statement as required by the Food Standard Agency.
It was noted that the Food Service Plan would be integrated into the Departmental Service Delivery Plan which is due to be published in June 2001.
The Committee agreed to approve and adopt The Food Service Plan 2001/2002 and The Food Service Enforcement Policy Statement as detailed
