Barnhill Rock Garden

Baxter Park
Baxter Park comprises 38 acres of mature parkland with open views across the sweeping southern lawns to the historic glass fronted Italianate Pavilion in its centre. The site was designed by one of the great innovators and achivers of the 19th century, Sir Joseph Paxton, and gifted to the people of Dundee by prominent flax mill owners, the Baxter family in 1863.
Dudhope Park
Prior to its present use for recreation, Dudhope Park and Castle had been used as a military base until the late 1800s. The park has views across the city from its grassy slopes and Dudhope Castle, although not available for ceremonies, provides a unique and historic backdrop.
Dundee Law
Dundee Law is an iconic local landmark which boasts 360-degree views across Dundee and beyond. The site’s mixed woodland and open grassland provide varied habitat for wildlife and a more natural setting for your ceremony with spectacular views across the city.
Magdalen Green Bandstand
Magdalen Green has the distinction of being Dundee’s oldest city park having been in use for some 400 years. The bandstand, built in 1890, has become an iconic landmark in the city and provides an attractive location for your ceremony. Please note that the bandstand can only accommodate 25 people but more can be seated or standing on the surrounding grass area.
