Glass Bottles and Jars

Recycled via:

Your mixed glass is taken to our transfer station for bulking before being transported to a glass re-processor.

  • At the processing plant the glass is then sorted by colour, washed to remove any impurities before being crushed, melted and turned into new products such bottles, jars, glass wool insulation for homes and water filtration technologies.

Did you know?

  • Glass does not degrade through the recycling process, so it can be recycled infinitely.
  • Each time one tonne of glass is recycled, about 580kg Co2 is saved throughout the supply chain, air pollution is reduced by 20% and water pollution cut by 50%!
