This website is run by Dundee City Council. It is designed to be used by as many people as possible. The text should be clear and simple to understand. You should be able to:

Non-accessible content 

Some PDF documents do not have the language specified. This fails success criteria 3.1.1 language of page. 

Some PDF documents do not contain bookmarks, this fails success criteria 1.3.1 info and relationships.

Some PDF documents do not contain a page title. This fails success criteria 2.4.2 Page Titled. 

The bin day calendars rely on visual perception of shape and colour to understand your bin day. This fails success criteria 1.3.3 sensory characteristics. 

Online forms do not provide information on the structure of the components to help you navigate, such as headings. This fails success criteria 1.3.1 info and relationships. 

What we're doing to improve accessibility 

We test the accessibility of our website  on an ongoing basis using SiteImprove. The SiteImprove Report is normally reviewed on a weekly basis.  

We test ad-hoc pages and multi-page forms using the Siteimprove web browser plugin for Google Chrome.  

We test the website using Voiceover on Mac OS. The testing is carried out on a Macbook pro laptop with 16 inch screen.
