Dundee City Council is undertaking a consultation on the proposed closure of St Pius X Roman Catholic Primary School and Nursery.
As part of this process, the Council will also seek views on the potential expansion of the catchment area of St Francis RC Primary School to accommodate the existing St Pius X RC Primary School catchment area.
On 2nd December 2024, The Children, Families and Communities Committee approved the proposed consultation which could see the permanent closure of St Pius X RC Primary and Nursery at the end of the academic session 2025/26.

This consultation would be undertaken in accordance with the schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010, which requires a formal consultation to take place whenever there are changes to the school estate.
The consultation period will run for 30 school days it will commence on Monday 6th January, 2025 and close on Wednesday 19th February, 2025.
