• Do not place in Grey non-recyclable waste bin
• Do not place in any recycling bins

• Can be recycled at Riverside or Baldovie recycling centres. There are specific containers for batteries.
• Ask a recycling attendant onsite if unsure.
• Important - do not place in grey general waste bin. Lithium batteries are extremely dangerous as they can explode and cause fires.

• These materials are NOT accepted at the Riverside or Baldovie recycling centres.
• PVC contains dangerous chemical additives including phthalates, lead, cadmium etc.
• If possible, return PVC materials to your original supplier for reuse or disposal.
• Alternatively, for safe disposal please contact a specialist waste disposal company search online

The council does not provide special/hazardous waste clean-up, uplift or disposal services for the following.

Including but not limited to:

• Return to your original supplier for reuse or recycling.

Do not dispose of fire extinguishers:

• Hand sanitiser liquids/gels are classed as hazardous waste.
• These liquids are not accepted at the Riverside or Baldovie household waste recycling centres.
• Householders with small quantities can dispose of this waste via their Grey non-recyclable waste bin.
• Householders or businesses with larger quantities (i.e.

• Hazardous material not accepted at Riverside or Baldovie recycling centres.
• Householders should contact specialist waste management companies for safe disposal.
• For small amounts of turpentine (i.e. less than a pint), leave the unused solvent to evaporate outside or in a well-ventilated area over the course of several hours. The empty container can be disposed of as general waste. Please keep turpentine out of reach of children and animals if following this approach.

• Please don't touch or dispose of in public litter or household bins.
• Report it online to arrange uplift and disposal of drug related paraphanelia. 

• Please bag all pet waste before disposing of it in your Grey non-recyclable waste bin.
• Dogs - please see Dog Waste.

• e.g. fibre cement roofing, cladding, pipe insulation etc (examples are not exhaustive) from buildings built or refurbished before year 2000.
• Asbestos is a hazardous material not accepted at Riverside or Baldovie recycling centres.
