Location

The City Centre is accessed from Marketgait, the inner ring road and Dock Street (A92), the A92 being a main arterial route between Aberdeen and Fife. Murraygate, the main shopping precinct in Dundee, is a bustling area with many household names, including Marks & Spencer, Tesco & Costa. Various streets run perpendicular to Murraygate, most notably Commercial Street, Castle Street and Reform Street, occupied by nationals and independents and is flanked by the Wellgate Centre, on the East and the Overgate Centre, on the West.

Description

  • An opportunity is available for an existing cafeteria, restaurant, public house or catering establishment to let a site within Tay Square to use as an outdoor hospitality space for a one year period.
  • The successful business would require to obtain an outdoor hospitality permit to use this area as an outdoor hospitality space. Further consents/permissions, eg building warrant and an occasional license to sell alcohol, may also need to be sought depending on the proposals for the site.

The area available for let comprises 2 sites which are illustrated on the attached plan. Area 1 is 32m2 and area 2 is 16m2

  • In the event that there are a number of serious interests expressed, a closing date may be set in order that applicants can bid for the opportunity.

Terms

Lease Details - Assuming all required consents are granted, the permit would be issued for the site for a one year period from 1 June 2025. Annual Fee - offers in excess of £1,150
