You are required to give at least 28 days notice of marriage to the Registrar. The Marriage Notice is valid for three months and you may be married at any point during this period, after the 28 days notice, assuming all the paperwork is in order. In Dundee you may choose to be married on any day of the year, including Saturdays, Sundays and ALL public holidays, including Christmas Day. You may also choose to hold your civil wedding at any time of day or night.
