Committed to encouraging the development of new community projects and supporting existing community activities in Dundee, Dundee City Council offers a range of grants to those community groups and voluntary organisation who respond to the needs of the local community and whose aims are consistent with the Council's Equality Opportunities policies.

Dundee Community Safety Partnership has established a number of grant funds that can be applied for by community groups for the purpose of making Dundee safe, and those who live and work in Dundee, feel safe.

The grants can be used to support a range of activity including work with young people that diverts them from antisocial behaviour; work to support communities tackle some of the low level crime and antisocial behaviour that affects their communities and to help sustain groups that have a community safety focus within their agendas.

When can applications for grant funding be submitted?
Funding is available each year starting in April. When a grant fund is used up for the year, we will publish that information on the appropriate web page.

Purpose of grant

To give groups and organisations promoting community safety activities consistent with the Dundee Community Safety Partnership Strategy and Action Plan (summarised below) access to grant aid to deliver locally based responses to identified community safety issues.  Maximum grant awarded £500.
