In 2020/2021, Dundee City Council’s highest paid 5% employees who were woman was 44.9%. The top 5% of highest paid employees who are woman this year 2021/2022 is 50.2% showing an overall improvement from last year. The Scottish average last year was 58.3% and therefore Dundee City Council is below the Scottish average. The Our People & Workforce Strategy sets out our ambition for Equality, Diversity & Fairness as well as enhancing leadership. Dundee City Council will continue to promote flexible working at all levels and ensure our training and recruitment practices provide equality of opportunity for all, at all levels of the organisation to continue to support woman with career opportunities and into the top 5% of the highest paid employees in the Council.
